Wednesdays from 6 June, 7:00 - 9:00pm, £25.00

Work alongside ceramicist Ciara Campbell using cutting techniques on stoneware clay to create simple but beautiful ceramic lanterns.

A relaxed class for all levels of ability, participants encouraged to develop their chosen medium. (Bring your own materials).

Learn the method and technique for throwing a pot under the guidance of experienced ceramicist Ciara Campbell then come back and personalise your creations ready for second firing.

Create intricate and beautiful dream catchers using simple crochet techniques and mandala patterns for individual works of art.

This workshop is a great introduction to willow work, creating something sturdy, functional and attractive and perfect for the summer garden.

SILVERSMITHING 

(Daylong Workshop)

Saturday 25 August, 10:00 - 4:00pm, £40.00

You will be taught traditional jewellery making techniques such as piercing, soldering, rolling, annealing and polishing, enabling you to design a necklace/earring. Class is led by designer, gold and silversmith Diane Lyness.

ROBIN PRICE - OXFORD ISLAND OUTREACH PROJECT

(TBC) 

MCAC Education team will work alongside sound artist Robin Price to deliver an integrated schools programme which will look at the ‘World Around Us’. Participants will be encouraged to experiment and investigate the natural environment introducing both simple techniques and new technologies.
